The Suns were outclassed last Wednesday in their match with the Brisbane Lions and lost by 45 points.

Team Changes

Three changes for the Magpies and they welcome back a couple of stars. Jordan De Goey and Adam Treloar are welcome additions, and Travis Varcoe also comes into the side to provide some experience. Tom Phillips is injured, and Max Lynch and Jaidyn Stephenson have been dropped.

For the Suns, Ben Ainsworth is out with an illness and Connor Budarick is injured. Sam Flanders has been omitted from the team. Coming into the side is experienced defender Jarrod Harbrow. Nick Holman and Sean Lemmons also get another crack at senior football.

Current Head to Head Odds

Collingwood – $1.25

Gold Coast – $4.00

Prediction

The two ins for the Magpies are enormous for this clash, and they have an excellent record against the Gold Coast Suns. This is a must-win game for the Magpies who need to win to keep their finals hopes intact as they come against the ladder leading Port Power next round. The Suns can hang around in this game, and the midfield battle will prove vital.

The Magpies have too much to play for and should win the match though.

Our Pick – Collingwood (Win)

Player Prop – Jack Bowes + 59.5 Fantasy Points

Bowes plays in the backline for the Suns and the Magpies give up the second most fantasy point to defenders this season. Bowes can occasionally spend some time in the middle and should rack up enough of the football to cover this number.

Player Prop – Josh Daicos – 75.5 Fantasy Points

Daicos is averaging around 75 Fantasy Points over his last four matches, but with Treloar and De Goey both back in the side, possession chances will now dry up. A season average of 69 and will find it tough to cover this number, with a likely different role.
